The Mississippi State Department of Health said Thursday that it plans to revoke the license of a medical cannabis testing facility in Natchez.
According to a news release, the department began an investigation into Rapid Analytics, LLC, on Dec. 21, 2023, and concluded the investigation Feb. 9.
MSDH said “significant deviations from regulatory standards and approved procedures” were found.
MSDH has determined to revoke the establishment’s license be effective March 13, 2024. Rapid Analytics has 20 days to appeal this decision.
“Medical cannabis testing is critical to ensuring product safety for patients, and Rapid Analytics’ disregard for regulatory compliance poses a threat to public health and welfare,” MSDH officials said in the news release.

Failure to appeal will result in the revocation of the license, the press release said.
The Clarion Ledger recached out to the company to ask if they will appeal the decision, but no calls were returned.
