640 mg of cbd is A LOT! If they had done a 1:1 of cbd/thc, 20 mg's of both, it would have been super enjoyable. But for in experienced, I'd recommend 10 mg's 1:1 at first.
That is way more CBD than most people will probably need to feel affects, and way more THC than an inexperienced person should be trying. I feel like that should be mentioned early in the video.
Wtf is this dude talking about. Cbd counteract thc.. cbd mellows you out. Lets listen to a nonsmoker and eater of weed. Or someone that doesnt even know how to Extract thc or cbd from weed. Why didnt he talk about thcv? Or what cnb is? Does he know what thca is. He didnt cover that nor cbn i can go on.. theres more than just thc and cbd
I call BS on the study to an extent… If I am freaking out from too much THC, I will take a vitamin B1 and a CBD gummy to pill the paranoia and eventually the entire buzz, reducing it to a manageable but much more comfortable experience.
all cbd flower taste like shit and does not get you high and is waste of money it also pisses you off and don't fall for the money back thing either its not worth the time tried many company's from Oregon, California, Colorado ,Florida and NY all of it is garbage
640 mg is crazy for 1 cbd ingestion even ingesting that much CBD alone will induce what some call a mild body buzz I feel like this study needs to be done in a way to represent the normal active marijuana user
I would like to see that study redone with reasonable levels of THC, like what would be ingested from taking a few puffs of cannabis that was 1-3% THC. That's representative of how people used to consume cannabis before these insanely high THC strains were developed. The cannabis was mostly grown outdoors, wasn't heavily manipulated, and had a more natural balance of cannabinoids. I think another missing component is the terpenes. People used to have to consumer a lot more cannabis to get a psychoactive effect, meaning they were also consuming a lot more terpenes, which are probably the source of a lot of the beneficial effects of cannabis. I just feel like this study is kind of like giving people a double shot of everclear and trying to extrapolate the effects of that to all alcoholic beverages in general. And obviously that study would have way different results if you just let the people sip on an IPA or glass of red wine. It's like they say, the only difference between poison and medicine is the dosage, and everything is a poison at high enough doses. Considering we've been as a species exposed to cannabis with THC around 1.5% for the last like 10k years, and then all of the sudden here we are with weed with THC levels 30% and higher, it's really no wonder things are going sideways. And yea I know, people have always had concentrates, but again, as the quantity of THC goes up, the quantity of CBD et al and terpenes goes up proportionately, and thus the ratio is maintained. I've personally had concentrates made from nearly non-psychoactive cannabis (i.e. cannabis with THC in the 1-3% range and CBD in the 30% range), and it is indeed a very different experience. It is psychoactive in the concentrate form, but it's very relaxing and there's no anxiety or racing heart. It's almost more of an opiate like feeling, but without the nasty opioid side effects. I had hydrocodone from a doctor once and the side effects were worse than the pain that it didn't really do a very good job of masking anyways.
this is good, because we learn more about cannabis in its different forms of use, I believe that this reaction is only in edible use. I believe that this study can be useful for us to understand this plant more and more.
Thc and cbd alone mean nothing. Its all about the terpene profiles, the terpenes provide the desired effects. You can have a high thc strain that has a calming terpene profile or one that has high energy terpenes
None of these edibles are recommended for people with stressful lives and mental health issues. The effects are too strong and cannot be stopped for hours. Stick to smoking a little bit few times a week to experience relaxing effects. Don’t do it every day or you’ll get dependent on it quickly
I mainly smoke real cannabis with mid – or high-grade THC. I've been smoking cannabis for a year now, and I would also do delta 9 or delta 8 edibles throughout the time. There was even one cannabinoid I did called THC O. Unfortunately, it is now illegal due to its vitamin e acetate when added to thc from hemp or marijauna. Overall Cannabis has changed my life in a positive way. There's so much more that we can all learn about from cannabis plants.
Boy, for me, CBD dulls the effects of THC. When I add CBD to my session, edible or dry vape, I don't really get high or buzzed. Just mellow and relaxed.
1 Study n=18 (also that would only make 6 who had the combo…) busts nothing. Its very interesting to see these results and should be further investigated maybe w 200 ppl… shouldnt be to hard to do. Also why no CBD control ??? that is an ESSENTIAL control for the assumption to be made.
Well, I have a prescription for Medical Marijuana in Texas. They gave me a 1:1 THC/CBD oil. I took it one time and was absolutely scootered for like 18 hours 😂🙌🏽🥴. Smoking pure flower is nowhere near that potent, at least in my experience so I think he’s pretty spot on with this.
it actually kills the high best thing to do when too high is just relax and sleep its impossible to die with weed i should be long dead if your smoking it the high dont last long what you feel after 40mins is the come down the after glow. edibles on the other hand ive had highs thats lasted 2 days where ive been so high i forgotten i was a human being still no harm came to me edibles should only be used for experienced stoners your in for a long ride to hell if you cant handle your highs for newbies they should just smoke it the high dont last as long and it gives you time to learn to control it more its just like alcohol you get to a curtain point of being drunk where your comfortable with and dont want more alcohol its the same with weed you will find your balance you will reach a nice level of high where you like it and will ease off the smoke for an hour or so if you dont want to be totally baked.
Anyone who has smoked normal type 1 cannabis(high thc) and type 3 cannabis(high cbd, low thc <1%) knows its not "hype" with cbd. If you are too high from thc and want to relax it certainly helps to ingest cbd. There is a lot of terpens involed with your cannabis experience. "Its safe to say..", no its not safe to say. Anyone who has experience with type 1, type 2 and type 3 cannabis knows it matters a lot. More studies need to be done and it would be jumping to conclusions to suggest otherwise.
Yes ive also had thst happen id why im very cautious with cbd cuz ive had it actually reverse mu high and make me have a panick attack it also can reverse thr effects of the benzos so u need take more to get relief that's why im like afraid of a high cbd but not a low like 1mg per gram
Ive experienced this myself but it's strange i can't reproduce it i need to find out what how why etc all thst to why i couldn't find thr how cuz it was only a few times certain strain maybe or ratio not sure but it can reverse it n make it weaker but also it can make it stronger we need a lot more research
I think the experiment needs experienced cannabis users as a control group. Individuals inexperienced with cannabis tend to experience the paranoia and anxiety.
1: …. i… i cannot even process the amount of ratio disparity. i fail to see how this would produce results that are valid. also i can not be the only one going "wait, why didn't they test ONLY cbd? why did it have to be a mix? sure a mix is fine to test but why not include one with JUST cbd?" this is easily one of the 3 worst designed studies i've ever seen. who came up with this? a grad student?
2: correct me if i'm wrong but i seem to recall it being a peer reviewed fact that the overwhelming majority of thc (& i'd posit thus also cbd)'s effects are psychological? i've lost count the amount of times i've been called retarded/worse for stating this. if this fact is still accepted as it was a few years ago when i last read that paper… then the entire field of research into any and all of the effects should be taken a LOT more carefully and not… gestures this. how can you test the effects of these compounds when the generation you're testing it on grew up watching those "don't smoke reefer. you'll unload a shotgun in your mouth for giggles" bs, scaremongering, tall tales, outright lies and idiot thugs telling you "nah man, this makes you do X and Y". your entire pool of subjects is tainted.
3: i am of the opinion that cbd does indeed posses the potential to be the "yin to the yang" 'in a way' they're both psycho-active compounds and i can personally (anacdotaly..) attest to the lessen anxiety bit. started using cbd without prior knowledge of it's supposed effects on anxiety and it helped. so that rules out confirmation bias & "it does what you think it will do" effects. i just tested it blindly. that said…. i can't believe i need to point this out. 20mg of 1 psycho-active compound that is believed to inflate/cause anxiety (by affecting what part of the brain.. ? hint hint) 640mg (!!) of another compound that is believed to lessen anxiety (by affecting… that same part?) there's such a thing as overdoing it. especially when it comes to brain chemistry. jezus.
Lemme put it like this: you drink 2 cups of coffee. then 20 shots of (the depressant) vodka. and you find lo and behold that the subject appears to be more energetic and active. What conclusion do you think this study's author would make?
MY conclusion is: "this study is flawed to the core. in more ways then i have time or energy to explain. altho thanks for informing me that throwing in cbd makes for a 'higher high' apparently?"
sincerely: someone who devoured medical papers for 18 months before i first inhaled a decade ago.

This is false information 😂

640 would put down a horse
640 milligrams is way to much CBD.
This is complete bs
"I believe the technical term is doobie" 😆
I call BS on the study to an extent… If I am freaking out from too much THC, I will take a vitamin B1 and a CBD gummy to pill the paranoia and eventually the entire buzz, reducing it to a manageable but much more comfortable experience.
They were given a 30:1 cbd to thc…. ya I'm sure they felt like shit
Not convincing ..
are there multiple studies that use the same methods and maybe different variables to confirm this? or just the one
what if its smoked instead of eaten?
CBd can have side effects itself. I call bs. This study was lazy and came to conclusions based on little data
I don't believe this. CBD cuts into the THC high and makes less anxiety. Rubbish test.
Duh lol all old school smokers know this that's why all new stuff sucks I miss old Mexican brick weed got me stoned all new crap just gets u high
I just smoke it all
all cbd flower taste like shit and does not get you high and is waste of money it also pisses you off and don't fall for the money back thing either its not worth the time tried many company's from Oregon, California, Colorado ,Florida and NY all of it is garbage
You also gave them 600+ MG of cbd … that's a shit ton… most cbd gummies are like 20-50mg cbd
640 mg is crazy for 1 cbd ingestion even ingesting that much CBD alone will induce what some call a mild body buzz I feel like this study needs to be done in a way to represent the normal active marijuana user

No this is rubbish
All of these Hybrids are mainly 23-30% THC and 0% CBD.
yeah i learned that the hard way
This guy has a great voice
640mg of CBD is like a whole bottle of the stuff, way too much!
this is good, because we learn more about cannabis in its different forms of use, I believe that this reaction is only in edible use. I believe that this study can be useful for us to understand this plant more and more.
Cbd flower mixed in with your regular bud give it a stronger entourage effect it’s a way better high, CBD + THC is 🤘🏽

sooooooo CBD+THC=more high with less weed
They should've made a brownie with less than 1%thc and high cbd too :c

The Doctor is wrong 👎🏼

Get Dr. Wilson's new book. It is great!
He is one of the best teachers I've ever experienced.
Haha, like the 'square' comedy routine.
I think the technical term is "doobie"… You're so funny🤣
I question why you are only interested in getting high.
Why didn't you choose a study of CBD effects on the body other than getting high?
Way was there not tested with CBD alone?
"Control Brownie"
