Hi, I’m Rachael Maher and I’m going to share about my experience with anxiety. I’ve been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Prior to this, I did experience some anxiety occasionally, but three years ago, I had a really bad anxiety attack and thought my life was over. Even though I tried taking different anti-anxiety medications my body seemed to reject them all. I had bad reactions to them and they made my anxiety worse.
So I struggled, and even when I found one medicine that seemed to work, I felt groggy all the time while taking it and I couldn’t really enjoy myself by going out for a beer with friends due to the fact that alcohol and medicine don’t mix. The medicine made me feel like I was always under the influence.
I decided to go to a marijuana store one day and ask for help. I wanted to see if there was any kind of marijuana that might help me feel calm. There was one for anxiety, which I tried, but I ended up feeling worse. I felt high and paranoid and my anxiety actually increased, so I couldn’t use marijuana anymore. It seemed that as I got older, my body couldn’t handle the effects of marijuana anymore.
Then I tried CBD. Even though I was a little hesitant and skeptical at first, I decided to go ahead and try it because I really didn’t want to take anxiety medicine. I wanted to feel normal, so I decided to go ahead and give it a try. I used it at night and noticed I felt I little less anxious and irritable, which surprised me. So the next night, I took it again and I slept for four hours, which was a lot better than the hour-long sleep I had been getting for the past six months. Finally, I could sleep.
I kept taking CBD every night and still take it. Some people use it once in a while, but I use it every day. It’s like taking medicine. You have to take it every day because it has to be in your system in order to work. If you just take it every now and then, it won’t be as effective. That’s why I decided to take high mg CBD oil every day. Taking 250 mg is like taking a vitamin for good health and 500 mg seems to work pretty well, but I take a higher dosage of 750 or 1500 mg. This is because I have anxiety and also pain from arthritis. I’ve noticed that I have less pain, too.
It is a blessing to have CBD. It honestly saved my life, because I thought that I was going to be stuck taking medicine. I do want to emphasize that taking CBD doesn’t always mean you can stop taking medicine. Make sure you ask your doctor because some medicines are important to keep taking. Some people find it helps to supplement their regular medicine with CBD.
Please be aware that CBD isn’t a cure-all. I don’t want there to be any misunderstanding. CBD does not make you high like marijuana and THC do. So, I became affiliated with my CBD company, which allows me to use my commission to get free CBD each month. I’m really blessed to have CBD. I couldn’t live without it. I’m able to sit down now, watch a movie, talk with friends and listen to them. It really is a blessing to have CBD. Those of you who know me have seen me go through a lot, and can see the difference in me.
