CBD Use: What Does the Research Say? with Dr. Rebecca Siegel – The Brain Warrior's Way Podcast
This episode of The Brain Warrior’s Way Podcast features more information, tips, and how to’s on medical marijuana and CBD oil. Let’s Talk About CBD with Dr.
Almost done with this episode and I keep hearing them start with talking on CBD THEN suddenly, near same sentence mention it as Marijuana or THC. I came here not to hear of THC, but to hear on CBD. They keep talking on it like it's the same thing.
I've tried different brands, strains, THC vs CBD, sativa vs indica, gummies…they ALL cause me to have extreme anxiety and paranoia. I've consumed it a time or two without knowing it was in my food (surprise!) and the reaction is the same as when I knowingly took it, so I'm not imagining the anxiety reaction.
My research has taught me there are certain people who have this reaction. I seem to be one of those people, I'm disappointed to say. I have a neuropathy issue that others tell me CBD helps to improve, but I won't take it due to the extreme reaction I get.
I love Dr Amen's podcasts… this ine was a very long podcast that went in cicles, and never landed… Does CBD help… you guys kept going back to Dr Amens brain scans on peoples THC usage… any brain scans on CBD users? Very non informative episode…
As with all the Drugs Doctors subscribe to, there are negative side effects, even l life-threatening ones, but they also can help save lives. I think CPD & Marijuana should only be given through prescription by a doctor due to the fact that they have negative as well as positive effects. If the studies are done, and the Doctor knows when and when not to give to a patient this will not get rid of the dangers but limit them and have better control for the patient.
CBD is actually being found to be good for many aspects of health. I think you may of confused CBD with THC at around the 42:30 min mark. But it’s important to make sure you get pure CBD without THC.
I just don’t like the gate keeping of substances. Like yes consult your primary care physician about concerns, but to keep it in a clinical setting only to me just seems like a way for the doctors and companies to make insane amounts of money (especially when billing insurance). I wish we could have more personal power in treating ourselves instead of relying so much on this professional class. There’s deep spiritual and cultural ties to this herb for thousands of years.
Dr. Amen seems to have a difficulty separating CBD from THC in his mind. Does CBD have side effects? It certainly can especially in high dose but generally much less than most other things. You all do not even understand the studies you are reading from. Using an isolate completely changes the dosage range and effect. Also of course the Dr you are interviewing wants CBD to be prescribed. That gives her and her industry power over us. So someone who has been an herbalist for 20 years would have to go and submit themselves to her to get a plant prescribed which the herbalist has greater experience with. It’s also sad to hear doctors sitting with Dr Amen speak in favor of the drug war. I really lost so much respect for you all from this video. Frankly her attitude makes me think she voted Trump. I guess she’s an Allopathic doctor and so we should assume she’s smarter or better informed than anyone else. You all realize that the rest of psychiatry and allopathic medicine believes you all are total quacks? Does that mean that you are? Again I’m not saying there are not possible side effects from different portions of the plant but wtf this pushy freaking person should not be the one deciding what I can do or not do with my body. I’m betting if I start talking about legislation to control what choices you can make with your body and you will get super pissed off.
Your talking about unleashing cocaine on society and equating it with CBD. Do you really not see the difference here. These plants have been used in medicine for thousands of years.
I’m so glad she said she doesn’t care about being popular. Seriously if her demeanor was even slightly warm when delivering her arrogant message. Unsubscribed. Have fun at your Trump rallies. I bet you all have a very different perspective on why you are getting hateful messages than those delivering them. Sad.
Drugs change the balance of chemicals in your brain. If your brain is already in balance in a state of homeostasis as most are, you shouldn’t be using any drug that changes it. Unless theres a truly legitimate medical reason that is worth the risk of changing the homeostasis of your brain.
I am walking away from this video without a clear Distinction between CBD and marijuana. Perhaps it’s because they themselves do not know. Dr.Amen seems to have experience only with marijuana use however nothing exclusively with CBD, unless I am missing something here if I am please give me clarity🙏🏻
Omg Rebecca I need to see you where is your office located , thank god NY FINALLY GOT A DR WHO CAN SAVES LIFE .I don’t need these pills that have so much side effects, pls let me know
This guy needs a wood, a blunt, a joint and some bowls. THC, CBD and all other sorts of Marijuana is truly helpful in many ways. Every-time i've smoked it I'm always happy.
I currently work in a cbd dispensary and training is the main focus for the company i work for. It's a pretty high and mighty assumption that we don't know what we are talking about.
Thumbs up to the underpaid silent warriors who help the less financially stable control pain, anxiety and other symptoms.
Not every person has access to decent health and medical care.
Keeping cbd in a position of easy access and low cost does more good than harm.
You should be fighting harder to prohibit alcohol rather than a naturally occurring flower with fewer health risks and side effects than pills or booze.
CBD is awesome, but have you tried some good kratom ever? for me even way better for anxiety, lack of energy and focus. But, the quality makes a difference, farmed one is just not anything like the original wildly grown one. And here in Indonesia we got only one project that sources and supplies real wild grown kratom, name is Borneo Energy, some kind of charity program. More than recommendable! Can find it from borneo.energy
I am an RN medical cannabis consultant. Nurses are perfectly suited to be coaches and educators without the need to have to go to the doctor to get this information. Doctors can work with certified Rns in the community to provide education and support and properly dose.

The Endocannabinoid System in Health and Disease – Dr Ethan Russo – Part 1

One perspective you didn't notice or comment on in regards to your perception of cannabis marketing targeting low income areas, is that those populations generally have no or very limited access to health care or treatments and often have to self medicate and self treat. With that perspective and the violence and self harm also associated with alcohol and opiate dependency, cannabis would be a far better choice for community use recreationally, especially if people could grow their own (improving access) as well as medical self treatment. Restricting an herb to medical dispensaries only again only ensures that people that need help won't have access.
Cannabis should be the first thing parents try after/or in conjunction with psychotherapy , there is an inclination to go straight to pharmaceuticals which do more harm than cannabis will
This individual with psychosis , may have been experiencing a repression of feelings, not based on cannabis but previously learned avoidant behavior , avoiding things enough will cause an influx of emotions that can be described as psychosis when the individual has no coping mechanisms
From a mental health perspective it seems in normal individuals with no history of mental illness , the thc is unveiling cognitive dissonance , with this phenomenon you see discrepancy in the way you behave and think , causing an uncomfortable sense of self , this is not a bad thing , most people don’t take the time to notice these processes , if we are able to experience this cognitive dissonance and change our thoughts and behaviors for the better then the anxiety dissipates
Thanks for attempting to talk about MC. So much to cram into a 48 minute discussion and so much that was not even addressed. In my own efforts to control pain, anxiety, PTSD, and gut issues, I have found help with CBD oil, edibles, as well as smoking flowers with a moderate amount of THC. I was super lucky to get hooked up with a collective (pharmacy) that is involved in private research in California. I got excellent advice on how to dose Medical Cannabis appropriately. It's much different – and much less quantity – that using cannabis recreationally. Certainly, adolescents should not be using cannabis without strict supervision, let alone recreationally. I was witness to a young adult male who had an episode and paramedics had to be called. He was awake but unresponsive from one hit of cannabis. Unsure of his medical history with psychotropic drugs, but this may have been a factor. So, this can happen, although this is the only time I have personally seen it.
What was not even touched on is research that shows humans have an endocannabinoid system. Many herbs used medicinally contain similar compounds as cannabis, such as terpenes. That's part of the reason why they do work.
I still agree that more research is needed but as someone who has allergic reactions and weird side effects that are worse than the symptoms I am trying to treat to practically every drug I have ever attempted to take… MC is a viable option to help alleviate symptoms so I can have some kind of quality of life, along with homeopathics, herbs and vitamin supplements.

CBD is said to not have a tolerance effect.

I know Weedborn has solutions to most diseases.
I cured myself thanks to CBD Weedborn products.
Weedborn oils are good for this.
My husband has been using these CBD Products from Weedborn and is extremely delighted.
If you wish, you can learn how to cure any disease by simply taking Weedborn CBD.

This time I will use Weedborn CBD products to heal myself.
Five months ago I started taking Weedborn CBD. This is the best option for me.
