RED BLUFF, Calif. – About five pounds of marijuana and over $43,000 were seized following a traffic stop.
On Tuesday, a patrol officer from the Red Bluff Police Department saw a black SUV making multiple unsafe turning movements on Main Street near the intersection of Hickory Street.
The officer pulled over the car for the observed traffic violations, police said.
Police identified the driver as 37-year-old Glenda Hayes. Upon going up to Hayes’ car, officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from it.
Hayes couldn’t respond to basic questions about where she was coming from and where she was going, police said.
Red Bluff K-9 Max was called to the scene and alerted that there were drugs inside the car, police said.
Officers then searched Hayes’ car and found about five pounds of processed marijuana bagged for sale, dozens of marijuana vapes packaged for sale and $43,582.
The Tehama County Major Crimes Taskforce is going to further investigate this case.
