Qualifying conditions need to be expanded. Does the state really think the better option is to de-legitimize patients and their illnesses/needs and shut those people out so they have to start their treatment/recovery based on a lie rather than to allow for people of all mentalities to get the treatment they need? It must be news to the state that it is in human nature to lie, if necessary, to get what is needed. Everyone deserves the opportunity to truly heal and recover and the state is being very short sighted. What they're doing is forcing people to be dishonest and manipulative and that's the kind of shit that sets a mental illness back.
I'm interested to check my assumptions. It seems that the substance abuse community within the mental health field maintains a suspicious and adversarial relationship with cannabis. This seems to heavily influence the entire mental health field. I assume that pro-cannabis therapists are a minority and perhaps much more so in Utah. Am I wrong?
