Maines recreational marijuana industry is skyrocketing because New Hampshire cannabis is still illegal, and Maine dispensaries are now selling to all citizens including New Hampshire residents, so not only do you have Maine consumers but new hampshire consumers as well so maines doubling there profits and new Hampshire is losing all of it, Sununu Is a moron
“One of the main goals of cannabis legalisation is to diminish the illicit market,” says Erik Gundersen, director of Maine’s Office of Marijuana Policy. (A guy seen in above video). Yea, looks to me like Mr Gundersen hasn't got a clue!.
What the Maine Authorities are doing is CULTIVATING Drug Users. Creating Drug NEWBIES by the hundreds, even many thousands, who 'initially' are happy enough to pay store prices BUT later on when some of them succumb to their Cannabis ADDICTION, becoming tighter & hardened they usually want more & more up to their budget limit, what they can afford.
Enough becomes NEVER enough through increased regular use, so (Q): how do some of them get even MORE volume of cannabis for their money. (A): some of them go on to purchase their Cannabis from the street corner seller who WILL ALWAYS be able to sell their drugs CHEAPER, due to lack of overheads, no tax paid, no rent, no rates, no lighting, no staff wages etc. The street corner dealers know that, they laugh at these Pot shops & the Authorities.
So, many of these drug users are only 'temporary' out of the street corner drug dealers hands, INCUBATED en masse within the cosy TRENDY Pot store scene, then many make their own way into the hands of street drug dealers with access to HARDER Drugs. Just a matter of time for some, The street corner dealer knows they will benefit in spades later on. "Why don't you try this, it's a bit harder & real nice", they say. Pot Newbies Enabled and TURNED on to taking drugs by the worthless Maine Authorities & Legislators ending up in street corner pushers hands.
I wonder how many extra overdose/fatalities will occur due to these Authorities & Legislators throughout your Nation, stimulating the usage of the gateway drug Cannabis. Far better to just ban it completely. Soon after all the increasing State legalisation it may become just too much of a vote loser to re-ban it. Legalised mainly as a vote winner, (were it not, they wouldn't do it!). Soon they won't be able to, out of Political Self Interest ever be able to put the cork back in the Genie lamp. The damage is being done, now almost completely done & sealed.
Later on there will be many who refuse to ever admit it was a failure. But it will be. An incremental failure, a 'boiling the frog' failure that some will hardly notice day to day with others out of self interest attributing this Harm to other factors. Anything but the obvious truth of the matter. The extra hard drug overdose fatalities & volume of wrecked lives in your communities will show this, (Heavily ignored, covered up & glossed over). Just not to be acknowledged as part of this trendy Drug Legalisation package is it!. Ban it and keep it banned.
