A topical anti inflammatory that I found during a bad bout with tendonitis due to my job is Penetrex. I found it at Walmart and decided to try it. After applying it that afternoon before going to work and reapplying at breaks my tendonitis was gone. No more pain. I have introduced quite a few coworkers to it and they all now swear by it.
You hit the nail on the head! Full time job, Board Certified medical massage Therapist, and beginner electric guitar. I have to protect and keep my hands and fingers in good working order. I work with many guitarists in my line of work and use CBD oil and also stretching. It really helps. Thank You Max for inspiring me to get back to learning again, I bought my first Harley Benton fusion 3 pro because of you and I am blown away with it… It makes me want to play it! ❤
I think hydration and warm-ups will go a long way to preventing these kinds of issues. These products might help you get out of a fix but they're not the kinds of things you should be relying on. For muscle pain I use the Tiger balsam, which is a slow heat treatment and not a quick fix but a fraction of the price.
Question " you've had some issues with your joint and muscles. What kind of issues " Answer " well over the years I've had some issues with my joints / muscles tightening " How very detailed 😂
Not sure what this has to do with guitars / music / metal / gear… but I'd honestly rather watch you both smoke some bucket bongs instead of rubbing oil on yourselves LOL 😀
As a 53 year old who just celebrated his 4th decade playing guitar, I can attest to CBD creams for when my tennis elbow from guitar acts up. Its horrible pain but CBD creams do help.
There are no scientific studies that support the claim that CBD is effective in any way. This is complete anecdotal bullshit. Not a good look for the channel.
Pantothenic Acid capsules and Amino Acids drastically improves my fingers for playing. Ginger is a great anti inflammatory for any pains I get too and it's cheap
Hahahahah, love the intro. I ride motorcycle. I did 16k miles this year all local. My clutch arm/fret arm had massive tendon it is now. Kills me to play guitar or bass. At 53 my shoulders and hands/years of manual labor building houses and auto technician. I'm in serious pain a lot. Unfortunately chd doesn't work for me but I make thc in coconut oil that. Well it's so strong if your like me and don't use cannabis. It's works fantastic but also knoks me out hahahahaha. Hoping for shots today at the Dr and I hate hate hate needles. But after ten years down I want to play again and have been but it also knocks me down for the 5 days in between jams. I'm going to try cbd again this grow season. I have over 800 seeds from a farm I consulted for a few years ago. Also it's fun to grow some for the thieves. Cannabis has its place cbd or thc. But nothing works better than playing pain goes away until after. Usually. But this tendinitis sucks balls. It wakes me it's painful I wake screaming in tears it's so freaking bad.
I can see how this kind of product can help with muscle and joint pain, I used to gig a lot add to that historic breaks and fractures in my arm, wrist and fingers, tiger balm really helped.. So same kinda thing I guess 😊
THC works great but it can interfere with your speed and memory. I have severe arthritis but I still play. Diet, exercise and stretching is essential. I practice 4 to 5 hours per day. Practice in segments. 10 minutes practice 2 – 5 minute break. I use an inversion table to decompress my spine. Ergonomics is also important.
These products are interesting, but there's more to this than applying some ointment type products. Steve was on the right track when he encouraged guitarists to do stretches. To prevent cumulative trauma injuries a guitarist should consider the ergonomics of the guitar he or she plays; the postures and positions when the guitar is played; exercises; and limiting the amount of time spent playing to allow the body to recover. Take care of your body guitar brothers and sisters, and it will take care of you. 🎸🎸🎸
My preventative product is the GYM , I'm 61 and play and at one time in my late 30's I strained my elbow ligaments so bad I couldn't play for 6 months , so I want to ask you how does working out help you ? Tks . Jeff.
Yo MAX!!! THANK YOU! I'm on a 10mg Hydrocodone, four times a day, regimen. To spare you the morbid details, it's to COPE with, NOT RELIEVE, three visible sources of movement-restricting "discomfort". I've been on it for maybe fifteen years and I'm tired of it. I will definitely check this stuff out! Thank your brother Steve for me too, please.
Well if it can relieve some pain it’s nice, but most of the time going to where the pain comes from and treat it is the best way Still whatever works for you is good
Steve is just funny and awesome thanks guys for the advice I too suffer from pain and cbd does help!!! Great video ✨

I order cbd products every month I have bad gout and it makes me where I can play
Save your money. Get a can of butane from the tobacco store. Rub it on. Same thing.

I have tried at least a dozen CBD products and None of them work.

"Joint problems"
Get it
Used to wait for the Snake Oil salesman to pull into town in a covered wagon with a dance hall girl to collect your dollar for a half pint.
